Service Description

Using the John Barnes Approach®, I use a gentle, yet effective hands-on technique using light sustained pressure and prolonged holds to the connective tissue (fascia) where there is tension, pain and/or inflammation in the body. Fascial restrictions can be a result of trauma, injury or surgery; which compromises range of motion, increased inflammation, pain and a host of other issues. Myofascial Release lessens pain, increases mobility and movement. This modality can assist with TMJ, scoliosis, chronic pain, sinus issues, digestion, migraines, fibromyalgia, just to name a few. A session can be 60 or 90 minutes and is done in person on a massage table, wearing comfortable shorts and a tank top. Things to remember before your session: Wear comfortable shorts, tank top and for women, preferably sports bra under tank top. The day of session refrain from using lotion, cream or body oil. It is important to know that inner work healing is not a one session cure-all. Because we accumulate unhealthy patterns, limiting beliefs and judgements over a lifetime, it may take several sessions to get to the root and clear the negative energies that block your way to a more peaceful life. If you're experiencing a particularly challenging time in your life or are focusing on clearing specific traumas, a series of sessions may be recommended.
